Fall 2013 Lab Outing

Lab BBQ to kick off the Fall 2013 Semester! The Pediatric Injury Biomechanics Lab kicked off the Fall 2013 semester with a BBQ at Dr. Brittany Coat’s House! Undergraduate lab members John Muhs, Sam Feinman, Justin Jones and Kiffer Creveling joined the group this year. Alex Williams was given a farewell card by lab members to congratulate him on his new engineering position at Bard Inc. Lab members, friends, and family enjoyed good food, drinks and hospitality by Dr. Coats and her husband.

9th Annual Utah Biomedical Engineering Conference

Congratulations to Jami Saffioti, Greg Scott, and Dan Shedd who were accepted to present their work at the 9th Annual Utah Biomedical Engineering Conference held in Salt Lake City, UT on Saturday, September 7th, 2013. Three students from the Pediatric Injury Biomechanics lab attended and presented research posters at the 9th Annual Utah Biomedical Engineering Conference on September 7th 2013. ASME 2013 Summer Bioengineering Conference Congratulations Jami Saffioti for being accepted to present her work at the ASME 2013 Summer Bioengineering Conference to be held in Sunriver, OR on June 26-29, 2013. SWE renews support for Saffioti

The Society of Women Engineers has reviewed the scholarship applications and awarded Jami Saffioti the Ada I. Pressman Memorial Scholarship for the 2013-2014 Academic Year. This is the second year Jami has received the scholarship and will continue to use it to pay for differential tuition, text books, student insurance and her daily coffee fix.  Congratulations Jami!
