Patrick Moran Successfully Defends MS Thesis!

Patrick Moran successfully defended his Master’s thesis today.  His thesis, Characterization of the vitreoretinal interface and vitreous in the porcine eye as it changes with age, set the foundation for identifying age related changes in structure and mechanical properties of the eye.  Patrick has accepted a position in the professional development program at T.D. Williamson and will be leaving us shortly to begin his career in Norway.  Best of luck Patrick, you will be missed!

DOD Awards $1 Million VPR Grant

The Department of Defense Vision Research Program has awarded the lab a $1 million dollar grant to investigate long term ocular injury from blast exposure! The interdisciplinary 4-year project will investigate ocular trauma using clinical evaluations and experimental animal models.  The project will support 2 graduate students for 4 years.  We are very excited to start on this project and are grateful to the DOD for their support.
