Lab Welcomes Nnaoma Agwu to the lab.

Nnaoma Agwu, an upcoming Junior at Santa Clara University, is spending a month in the pediatric injury biomechanics lab as part of the Graduate Preparation Institute program at the University of Utah. Nnaoma will be characterizing the relaxation modulus of soft contact lenses as a comparison to some hydrogel equivalents tested earlier in our lab. Welcome to Utah Nnaoma!

Congratulations to Early June Graduates!

Many congratulation to Jami Saffioti, PhD and Greg Scott, MS for graduating!  Jami defended her PhD dissertation, “Characterization of Pediatric Ocular Material Properties for Implementation into Finite Element Modeling” on June 2, 2014. Greg defended his MS thesis, “Anatomy and Biomechanics of the Pia-Arachnoid Complex” on June 4, 2014.  It was an intense push to the end, but both succeeded marvelously.  The lab celebrated their success at the Desert Edge Brewery.
