Research Interests/Project:  Characterizing deformation of the eye during rapid head rotation using a custom built cyclic device and image processing.

Interests outside of Research: Hiking, kayaking, running, animals, fixing things in my ancient house, landscaping/home improvement projects.

Tell us something about yourself that otherwise we wouldn’t know or guess: I spent five years in the Marine Corps as a calibration tech and HAZMAT NCO. I have moved over 20 times in the last few years and have lived overseas in japan.

What can’t you live without: my animals

Favorite place to eat in SLC or surrounding area: Ichiban sushi

Favorite activity in SLC or surrounding area: hiking to the top of any mountain.

If there is one thing you could tell your lab mates, what would it be? I take things very literally, and have a dry sense of humor. I also don’t get mad, and it’s almost impossible to offend me.
